Tunnels auscultation strategy : implantation and notation
Stratégie d'auscultation des tunnels : implantation et notation
Abstract
Current inspection strategy of RATP tunnels is mainly based on visual auscultation works (visits). Indeed, officers conduct regular tours of inspection to determine structural state of the RATP network. The whole works is inspected and every apparent default are located and reported in inspection reports. However, this control system does not relate apparent defaults and their causes. A new methodology of auscultation is proposed in the frame of ANR project MéDiTOSS consisting on integrating auscultation tools to better characterize the geometrical and mechanical state of the tunnel. This new strategy combines four techniques: ground penetrating radar, light dynamic penetrometer (Panda) coupled to the endoscopy and then geo-mechanical impedance. This coupling allows the description of the geometry of the masonry (Panda endoscopy impedance and GPR), the state of contact between the structure and the host rock (geo-endoscopy) and the mechanical properties of lining, masonry and the banking (by measures Panda-geo-endoscopy). These techniques are applied at panel (of a dozen meters long) and allow obtaining a ''panel note''. This work aims on the one hand to present the method to pass from the grading scale of the panel (diagnostic result) to the station / or structure scale (decision-making scale) and on the other hand the method for an optimal implantation of MéDiTOSS panels in order to improve the maintenance management of these works.
