Der sprachtheoretische Diskurs zur Innovation in der Literatursprache und in literarischen Übersetzungen im 18. Jahrhundert
Résumé
This study deals with aspects of the linguistic discourse about innovation in the language of German literature in the 18th century in texts of different genres (principally grammars, but also in literary periodicals and philosophical and poetological treatises). It focusses on the discussion concerning the rising use of participial attributive and absolute structures in poesy, prose, including translations, during the century. It is shown that the opposite positions are directly linked to the refusal or acceptance of the idea that languages are changing and could be improved by contacts between languages.
