FDTD-FVTD Comparisons in reverberation chamber
Résumé
Modelling of a Mode Stirred Reverberation Chamber (MSRC) using time-domain techniques is achieved by using Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) and Finite-Volume Time-Domain (FVTD) schemes. Advantages and difficulties related to time domain simulations in MSRC are underlined in this paper. Since FDTD techniques are commonly used, number of treatments have already been integrated for MSRC studies. By allowing unstructured meshes' design, a larger geometrical flexibility is allowed by Finite Volume (FV) method. Predicted FV numerical results are compared with those obtained by FD simulations on practical cases involving RC in time domain.
